# Mucusless diet healing system

> by Arnold Ehret

The ideal diet of man is the mono-diet and mixtures are prone to lead to gluttony, so that this should be remembered when arranging the meal.

1. ALWAYS EAT FRUIT FIRST. The digestion of ripe fruits takes place within a normal stomach within a few minutes after eating. Wait five or ten minutes before eating your vegetable course.

2. DO NOT DRINK LIQUIDS OF ANY KIND WITH MEAL. Liquids of all kinds (including soups) interfere with proper digestion of meal. At lease thirty minutes should elapse before drinking both before and after eating.

3. MAN'S FOOD IS FRUITS AND HERBS - (Genesis 2.). For healing purposes, uncooked, starchless green leaf vegetables (parsley, carrots, celery, lettuce), combined with fruits both in their natural and cooked state, will be found to be much better than an exclusive fruit diet.

4. MIX BUT FEW VARIETIES. Fruit meals should consist of not more than two kinds of fruits in season. Your appetite will dictate the quantity to be eaten.

5. NEVER EAT NUTS WITH JUICY FRUITS. When nuts are eaten with fruits such as oranges, apples, pears, etc., the water makes nuts indigestible. Dried fruits, figs, raisins, dates, prunes, can be eaten dry with nuts. Chew together and masticate thoroughly. The fruit sugar helps to digest the nuts.

6. NATURE'S OPEN BOOK IS SIMPLICITY. The fewer food mixtures the better. Three different varieties should be sufficient, four and five is often too many.

7. Do NOT OVER-EAT. Mother Nature requires moderation in all things.

### What are Deceptive Mucus-Formers?
Here is a list of foods that many people do not realize create mucus:
- **Rice** (great for creating glue to bind books, bad for the transition to a mucus-free diet)
- **Avocados** (fatty item that may be used on the transition, but are highly addictive. Although technically a fruit, if used it is best to combine them with a mucus-free combination salad or vegetables to aid elimination. However, it is recommended to stay away from them if you are not already stuck to them.)
- **Nuts** (Mucus-forming, but may be used on the transition. It is best to eat with dried fruits like raisins to aid with elimination.)
- **Plantains** (Starchy)
- **Tofu** (Slimy and mucus-forming.)
- **Un-ripened fruits** like green bananas (the riper the fruit you eat the better).
- **Corn** (It does not eliminate well. When cooked, corn becomes mushy and slimy in the intestines.)
- **Corn chips** (Some people use them on the transition, but they are very addictive and do not eliminate well)
- **Beans** (They are starchy and mucus-forming. But, they may be used sparingly on the transition within close proximity to green-leafy salads)
- **Starchy Vegetables** (Some vegetalbes are starchy and mucus-forming in raw or cooked forms, such as white potatoes. But, many other vegetables, such as sweet potatoes, become almost mucus-free (starchless) after proper cooking.

## The natural mover
Dried fruit followed by juicy sub-acid fruits with some fibre

Prunes or figs + apples or blackberries (grapes also work)

Best: 5-10 prunes + 2-3 apples
Alternative: 5-10 figs + 10-15 blackberries

If constipated, get more aggressive: 20-30 prunes + 4-6 apples (even 3x day)

If it still doesn't work, get onto lemon juice fasting because there is a gluey blockage. Lemon enemas with 10-20 lemons to break down that rock
